This is accomplished by integrating productivity tools with knowledge management. The software enables users to make better business decisions and save time by creating a central information source accessible from anywhere, anytime, on any device. Basic functionalities include contact management, team scheduling, project management, time reporting and Knowledge Base searching.

SmartShadow is a browser-based application that achieves a high level of functionality through DHTML and JavaScript. Its pages are created dynamically using JSP with its database being Oracle or SQL Server.
