Barry Goldberg’s Bio

Barry GoldbergBarry is the Chief Technology Officer at Unigo, LLC, a New York startup providing user-generated college review content.  Barry is the senior executive and chief architect responsible for defining and implementing technology and product strategies with oversight of all software development, technical operations, and management of internal staff, vendors and contractors. Barry also is a co-founder and CTO of SocialBloc, a digital media strategy think tank also based in NYC.

 

Barry and his wife Kim also founded Pocket Wally Productions, a company dedicated to edutainment applications for young children.

 

Before joining Unigo, Barry spent four years at The Princeton Review, first as an AVP and then as Vice President of Application Development.   Barry led development teams for all three subsidiaries of The Review and managed an $8MM budget. Under his leadership, The Princeton Review consolidated software development and reduced spending 30%.  Barry was also responsible for the rollout of their new website (2008) which accommodates 25 MM unique visitors per month.  Barry came to The Review from Zedak Corp., a boutique software consultancy for Fortune 100 financial institutions.  As VP of Technology he helped the company achieve 300% growth over 3 years.  From 2000-2002, Barry was the SVP of Technology at the media company ACTV.  While there, Barry ran web development for four subsidiaries.  Barry prides himself on leveraging emerging technologies to meet ever evolving business needs.

 

 

Barry graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a BS in Computer Science, and lives in New Jersey with his wife and two young daughters.
